It starts with a beautiful soul.

This foundation starts with a beautiful soul whose name is Joanne Desir. She was like any other person who was full of life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends as she served as a devoted social worker in her community. On June 28, 2023, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was only thirty-eight years old. After her diagnosis, she was determined to keep on thriving. During her journey, she coined the term “JoStrong” as a form of encouragement. As she kept her faith that she would overcome breast cancer, she would echo “JoStrong” as she continued her daily lifestyle. She thrived until she made her transition to eternity on January 23, 2025.
